Can TEK-Zence sensors be installed in any type of building?

Yes. The sensors can be adapted to any type of building, and we can tailor solutions for your building, facility or project.

How long does the battery last?

Battery life is 5 to 10 years, depending on measurement frequency and use. This makes the sensors practically maintenance-free, and with a follow-up agreement TEK-Zence keeps track of you on an ongoing basis.

Do I need a gateway or a separate router?

No. The S1-9030 moisture sensor has built-in 5G/LTE/CAT-M1 communication and needs no gateway. Alerts are sent directly by SMS, email or to the company's building management system.

Are the sensors certified and calibrated?

Yes. The sensors are approved through accredited certification schemes such as CE, and they are calibrated by recognised calibration companies.

How does the leak protection work?

The Pipe Watcher clamps onto the outside of the water pipe and monitors water flow, consumption and temperature using Time-of-Flight technology. It gives early warning of leaks across the entire plumbing system, from small drips to major leaks, and needs no plumber. Real-time updates are available in a free app for mobile or PC.

What does the S2-9031 movement and vibration sensor measure, and where is it used?

The S2-9031 monitors cracks, movements and vibrations in real time, as well as moisture and temperature. It documents settlement, provides 360-degree movement tracking and sends instant alerts. It is used on construction sites, during blasting and piling work, and in areas with unstable ground conditions.

What is the maintenance plan, and what does the app cost?

The maintenance plan is in the TEK-Zence app, which is free to download. It gives you a yearly cycle, tasks, reminders, notes and photos for a house, apartment, cabin or commercial building. The app requires login and is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Can sensors and a maintenance log help when selling my home?

Yes, because they provide documentation. History, notes, photos and reminders make the home easier to trust, and you have a log to show the surveyor and estate agent. What has been done can be verified.
